Back Again after a long break..GMAT Prep starts

hi all..It feels good to be back on the blog scenario after a very but busy long time. Straightaway to the updates. I have been preparing for the Mah-CET due the 17th of Feb. But more importantly, I have taken the SP Jain Aptitude test. The score of the same came out to be 83.66%tile..Though it cleared the necessary cut-offs, I feel I could have done better..atleast because the test is a lot more simpler and easier than the traditional CAT. The test is a mere cakewalk for those who are apt at attempting scholarship exams, IQ tests, etc..The only section that will make you sweat is the GK part. Here is where all factors of rankings and percentiles come into play. Here is where, there is a fat chance that you may end up with a percentile that is a score behind other fellow test-takers. So watch out, keep your ears tuned in to absorb any and all the possible facts and gyaan that so freely and randomly gets distributed around. Most of all, register it. And bring it out to the front when a related question is asked.

Well enough, of the test. Will post about it more if I do get an admissions GD/PI call from the ADCOM. But for now, my attention is on our favourite frontrunner test..the GMAT. Having read and pondered over posts on pagalguy and other dedicated GMAT sites, I have decided that around 4 months is more than enough to cover the GMAT. Of course this just reiterates my GMAT Prep plan that I had decided in the previous post. To start with, I have decided to take the date for the 7th of July'08. And to start with, I have placed an order for the entire set of Offical Guide books by the GMAC in addition to the KAPLAN Premier Program 2008 edition and the MANHATTAN SC GMAT.

An hour a day during the week (can afford only that much..work constraints..phew!!) with an upscale to about 3 hrs on weekends is all that I can do for now. Lets see if I can heat up the prep along the way. This way I could end studying the matter until the end of May and practice a lot of simulated GMAT tests in June. Yeah, That should be enough!!

ATB to me!!!

PS:I am utterly and completely clueless on the existence of our very own co-author Prags. If we have any luck coming our way, we may get to hear atleast a few of her prep plans soon.
